The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, February 11th, for a regular weekly meeting. There were 31 members and four visitors in attendance. Among the visitors was one Mason High School senior, Elijah Dickerson.

Lion Melvin McCallum was responsible for the program and entertained us by playing his fiddle and telling some jokes. He also told some stories from his early childhood, growing up and working in the oil patch of Odessa, Texas. It was an entertaining program.

The club’s next meeting will be held next Tuesday, February 18th, at noon at Willow Creek Cafe. The program chairman will be Wilford McCann.

The Mason Lion’s Club promotes sight conservation in our community. Anyone who has used eyeglasses to donate may give them to a Lions Club member or put them in collection boxes at the local banks. Also, if anyone needs financial assistance with eyeglasses, please speak to a local Lions Club member.
