Library Starts Seed Exchange
Wednesday, March 5, 2014 • Posted March 6, 2014

The Mason Co. M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library has started an heirloom seed exchange. The library has purchased various heirloom, or heritage, vegetable seeds. Heirloom seeds are seeds that date back many generations, some to the early American settlements, and they have not been genetically altered. Local gardeners interested in getting these free seeds must agree to replace them after they harvest. Gardeners may call the library at 325-347-5446 for more information.
