Retired Teachers' Visit School, Give Books to Students
Wednesday, March 26, 2014 • Posted March 27, 2014

Local members of the Menard-Kimble-Mason unit of the Texas Retired Teachers' Association visited the Mason Head Start school to give each student a book of their own. Members Julie Gamel, Linnda Graham, Gladys Kaderka and Mag Spaeth presented the books as an educational book project of TRTA. Retired teachers in Menard, Junction and Mason have distributed these books for the last eight years to always excited young children who find it hard to believe the books are theirs to keep. All three towns participate in this project. The Head Start teacher in Mason is Samantha Delgado, who has seventeen students, and she assisted the guests with her students.
