Riata held its monthly meeting in the home of Jodie Kingston with C.J. Reardon serving as co-hostess. KK Brannies, program chairman and former educator, introduced school superintendent Pam Kruse.

Mrs. Kruse talked about what is going on with the school buildings now and what is to come in the future. The old elementary school buildings will be added a wing and refurbished. This work will begin after the end of the school year. The school has the funds to complete this work. She also gave an update on the State Tennis tournament , the UIL teams , the track teams, one act play and the after school program.

There is a need for money to furnish snacks for these after school programs. Mrs. Kruse also talked about the teachers being so involved in all of these programs to improve our school and its students. There is a lot going on in and with our school and Mrs. Kruse stated she was always available if there should be any questions.
