Hill Country Cattle Women
Wednesday, April 2, 2014 • Posted April 5, 2014

The Hill Country Cattle Women organization consists of women in one of the following counties, McCullouch, San Saba, Menard, Mason, Llano, Kimble, Gillespie, Blanco, Edwards, Kerr, Kendall, Real, Bandera, and Northern Bexar. Our primary objective is to promote and support the production of beef and the beef industry. We do this by awarding scholarships to college students who have 60 college hours and have a grade point of at least 2.8. Last year we awarded over $20,000.00 in scholarships. We also have an educational booth at the various Ag Days for elementary age children throughout our respective counties.

On April 26, 2014, we will be having our Spring Round-Up fund raiser to support our scholarships and beef promotion. Our Round-Up is being held at Pat’s Hall in Fredericksburg, Texas. The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. and end at 11:00 p.m. Cost per ticket is $50.00, and this includes a catered meal, country/western music provided by Bo Porter for your listening and dancing pleasure. We will also be having a silent auction, raffle and a live auction. Some of the prizes are: fishing trip, black buck hunt, dove hunt, custom made knife, G. Harvey print, sculpted art, fire pit, jewelry, and many more wonderful prizes.

If you are interested and would like to attend please contact Janice Wahrmund at 830-685-3335 or Dianne Staudt at 830-997-4729.
