Mason Study Club Hosts Care-A-Vanners
Wednesday, April 2, 2014 • Posted April 5, 2014

On Friday, March 28th, the Mason Study Club hosted the Care-A-Vanners for lunch at the First United Methodist Church. Doug and Carol Holmes made their famous tomato-basil soup and other Club members contributed a variety of sandwiches and desserts. These seventeen Care-A-Vanners will complete the construction of the 2014 Habitat Home. The construction began in February with the first Care-A-Vanners arriving, followed by other groups of workers. All the Care-A-Vanners are talented, dedicated and very caring to give of their time and themselves to build these homes under the direction of Keith Kaan. This home is the first one in “The Greenway”, a subdivision that will eventually have six more habitat homes built. This home will be purchased by Stephanie Sparks and her three children. She has been helping to construct her home on Saturdays and is anxiously waiting for the home closing and dedication on April 11th.
