The Mason Study Club started their Silent Auction last week in the lobby of the Mason Bank. Linnda Graham, shown in the photograph attached, started the bidding on the four auction items. These items include a bluebonnet painting by Sue Kaan, a bold colored quilt by Pam Scott, a Christian Fish in Limestone by Penny Ruthven, and a wheelbarrow full of garden necessities. The wheelbarrow has had two items recently added. One is a photograph of a cow by Phyllis Estill. The second item is a hand-signed giclee by Martin Grelle. This item has been generously donated by Bob & Cathy Terrell from the Mason Art Gallery. Martin Grelle is from Clifton, Texas, and started painting at a young age. He was fortunate to be able to study under two renowned artists, James Boren and Melvin Warren, both of members of the Cowboy Artists of America. These auction items will remain at The Mason Bank until Friday. On Friday and Saturday, April 11th and 12th, they will be on display at Wendy Hudson’s Market Square. On Monday, April 14th, these items will be moved to The Commerical Bank. The winning silent auction bids will be announced on Friday, April 25th. For any questions about these auction items, please contact Mary Carlman, 347-9605, or Karen Olson, 265-4458.
