The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, April 1st, for its regular monthly business meeting. There were 33 members and one visitor in attendance.

"Boss Lion" Fritz Landers was responsible for the program and Secretary/Treasurer Gene Gammill read the minutes and gave the financial report.

The Hamburger Lunch made a profit of just less than $980. This money is used to serve our community in sight conservation. We thank everyone that supported us on this project.

Martin Leatherwood was installed by Lion John Gammill and his sponsor, Tim Walker. Lion John is the District Governor Elect for District 2-A1. He will take office in July.

The club’s next meeting will be held next Tuesday, April 8th, at noon at Willow Creek Cafe. The program chairman will be Charles Reichenau.

The Mason Lion’s Club promotes sight conservation in our community. Anyone who has used eyeglasses to donate may give them to a Lions Club member or put them in collection boxes at the local banks. Also, if anyone needs financial assistance with eyeglasses, please speak to a local Lions Club member.
