Scarlet Punchers Visit The Hill Country
Wednesday, April 9, 2014 • Posted April 9, 2014

Mason’s Scarlet Punchers, those adventurous ladies clad in crimson chapeaux and purple duds, are “going cross-country” for their monthly luncheon. Jan Appleby, a member for many years, has volunteered her home in Hilda for a pot lunch luncheon on Monday, April 14th. Members will meet in the Methodist Church parking lot at 11:00 for a car-pooling caravan to Jan’s house. With the wildflowers in bloom, this should be a spectacular drive!

As always, the agenda for the day will be: 1) offer a prayer of thanksgiving that we’re all “above-ground,” 2) eat ourselves into oblivion, 3) laugh and make fun of each other and particularly those members not present (so show up or else!), and 4) draw for prizes.

If you would like to join us, remember, there are no dues or fees, we accomplish absolutely nothing in terms of “do-good-ing,” (although most all members do tons of volunteer work in other venues), and we absolutely insist on having a good time! For more information you can call Lynn Hedges at 347-0152, Mary Carlman at 347-2290, or Lenore Newsom at 347-2766. So “hat up,” show up, and join us as we have fun!
