Mason County Habitat for Humanity to Dedicate Twelfth Home Fridya, April 11th
Wednesday, April 9, 2014 • Posted April 9, 2014

The public is invited to join new Habitat partner family Stephanie Sparks and her three children in the dedication of the twelfth home built by Mason County Habitat for Humanity. The dedication will begin at 2PM at the new home located at 1315 Morrow St.

Construction of the home began on February 4th with the arrival of the first group of Care-A-Vanners and finishing touches are now being completed.

This year’s home is a first for Habitat in that it is totally solar powered. One of the objectives for the last six years has been to build ecologically friendly, energy efficient homes for the partner families. Solar technology has advanced to the point that it was felt that it was wise to use this source of energy. Building Supervisor Keith Kaan will be on hand to answer questions regarding the construction of the home and its solar unit.
