Rachel Lynn Garza Garcia, age 20, of Brady, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014, in an automobile accident near Brady, Texas.

Rachel was born August 23, 1993, in San Angelo, Texas, to Joe Jack Garza and Laurie Denise (Campbell) Garza. She was a lifelong resident of the Brady area. She worked as a private duty care giver and she attended the Christian Community Church in Brady. Rachel was a wonderful, loving mother and sister who was always smiling and happy. She enjoyed singing and was always ready to help.

Funeral services for Rachel Lynn Garza Garcia were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 28, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Brady with Reverend Gaylon Morris officiating. Interment followed at the Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady. The family receivef friends Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady. Rachel is survived by her husband Christian Garcia of Brady; her father Joe Jack Garza and wife Rena of Brady; her mother Laurie Morris and husband Shane of Rochelle; her grandfather Robert Charles Campbell and wife Sherry of Meridian, MS; son Jayden Anthony Garcia of Brady, TX; daughter Mia Maria Garcia of Brady, TX; brothers Rex Skees and companion Nikki Perkins of Rochelle, TX, Christopher Anthony Skees and wife Emily of Rochelle, TX, Randy Garza and wife Lisa of Tyler, TX and Joey Garza and wife Jean of The Woodlands, TX; sister Tara Nicole Sherman and husband Tracy of Kerrville, TX; step-brothers Robert Stephenson of Brady, TX and George Stephenson of Brady, TX; step-sister O.C. Cooley of DeRidder, LA; father-in-law Oscar Flores of Brady, TX; mother-in-law Christine Garcia and fiancé Lynn Plumbley of Brady, TX and a special friend Becky Davis of Brady, TX and numerous nieces, nephews & cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Betty Maddox and grandparents Mary & Martin Garza. Memorial contributions in memory of Rachel Lynn Garza Garcia may be made to Garcia Family Funeral Expense Fund at Commercial National Bank in Brady .
