Carter James Garcia

Carter James Garcia, age 11 months, of Brady, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Cook Children’s Hospital in Ft. Worth from injuries he sustained in an automobile accident near Brady, Texas.

Carter was born May 16, 2013, to Christian Garcia and Rachel Lynn (Garza) Garcia. He was a lifelong resident of the Brady area and attended the Christian Community Church in Brady .

Funeral services for Carter James Garcia were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 28, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Brady with Reverend Gaylon Morris officiating. Interment followed at the Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady. The family received friends Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady. Carter is survived by his father Christian Garcia of Brady; his maternal grandfather Joe Jack Garza and wife Rena of Brady; his maternal grandmother Laurie Morris and husband Shane of Rochelle; paternal grandfather Oscar Flores of Brady, TX; paternal grandmother Christine Garcia and fiancé Lynn Plumbley of Brady, TX; her maternal great-grandfather Robert Charles Campbell and wife Sherry of Meridian, MS; paternal great-grandparents Rudy & Mary Garcia of Brady, TX; paternal great-grandfather Billy Gene Walton of Brady, TX; brother Jayden Anthony Garcia of Brady, TX; sister Mia Maria Garcia of Brady, TX and numerous nieces, nephews & cousins. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother Betty Maddox and great-grandparents Mary & Martin Garza. Memorial contributions in memory of Carter James Garcia may be made to Garcia Family Funeral Expense Fund at Commercial National Bank in Brady.
