Alexandria Martinez Earns Bachelor of Science Degree at Sam Houston State University

Alexandria Martinez will earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University during their May 9, 2014, commencement exercises. Alexandria will graduate magna cum laude, graduating in the top 10% of her graduating class.

Alexandria earned Dean’s List honors all six semesters while at Sam Houston State University. During her three years at SHSU, she was honored in the President’s Honor Roll ceremony, which honors students who have achieved a 4.0 grade point average. She was honored in the Honors Convocation by The College of Criminal Justice which recognizes students whom performed outstanding during the academic year.

Alexandria is a member of Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology, Alpha Chi National Honor Society, Alpha Phi Sigma Criminal Justice National Honor Society, Golden Key International Honour Society, Alpha Omicron Pi, Sigma Theta Sam Houston State University chapter, Gamma Sigma Kappa and Pay It Forward Organization.

Alexandria graduated from Mason High School in June 2012.

She is the daughter of Rosa Berreles and Daniel Martinez of League City and the granddaughter of Hector Berreles and Rosa Gonzales of Mason, Texas and the sister of Tony Martinez. Alexandria has accepted a position as a Math teacher for Teach for America in Nashville, Tennessee; she will also pursue her Master’s degree during her two year commitment.
