Tennis-A-Thon Fundraiser Results
Wednesday, April 30, 2014 • Posted May 3, 2014

The Mason Tennis Association Tennis-A-Thon fundraiser was a smashing success in raising over $8100. The money will be used to improve our tennis center.

Many of our tennis playing youth, ages 3 to 18, played tennis for 1 and 1/2 hours on March 23rd and acquired sponsors who donated money to them for playing.

The top fundraiser for this event was Madelyn Heath, a 6th grader, who raised $850. She received a brand new racquet for her fundraising effort. Wow! 2nd place fundraiser was kindergarten player, Kolton Smith, who raised $748. Super! Third place fundraiser was 2nd grader, Riley McBride who brought in $485. Yippee! These two players received tennis backpacks. What a great job these players have done!

The M.T.A. would like to thank our underwriters for the 2014 Tennis-A-Thon. Donating at the $500 gold level was the Mason Bank. Donating at the $250 silver level was The Commercial Bank, First State Bank, Ahlschwede & Spaeth, Dipsticks Tire and Lube, Culver Family Farm, K5 Services. Citizens Insurance and Country Collectibles donated at the $100 bronze level. Without their generous help, our Tennis-A-Thon would not have been such a success.

Special thanks go to Dr Pepper Bottling for donating prizes for the court winners on the day of the event.

The M.T.A. would like to thank all of those tennis players and parents who worked so diligently in obtaining sponsors and all of you who were so gracious to donate to them. The support you showed was just wonderful.
