Carmen Griffith Teaches Spanish

Mrs. Carmen Griffith drives from Voca each Monday to teach Beginning Spanish as a volunteer for the Mason County M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library. Carmen Ana Rojas-Garcia Griffith was born in Huanuco, Peru, and lived much of her life in the capital city of Lima. She graduated from St. Martin de Porres University and went on to obtain her law degree. Carmen practiced law for fourteen years before becoming a Superior Court Judge in Lima. In 2001, she moved to Abilene, Texas, and married John Griffith, who at the time, was in the United States Air Force. In 2004, the couple moved to Voca, Texas, where they reside today. Carmen's hobbies include dancing, reading and painting.
