Hill Country Heritage Association Closes Down
President
Wednesday, May 21, 2014 • Posted May 22, 2014

A former 501C3 non-profit organization, the Hill Country Heritage Association, has made the decision to discontinue operations as of March 30 of this year after 20 years on the firing line defending the rights of property owners, primarily due to the fact that our Old Fire in the Guts members have gone on to happier times.

We thank those who joined the crusade to help prevent the TAKING without compensation, some 1 million acres as bird habitat in Central Texas and then grew into other stands against the taking of private property by volunteering services and funding. The decision was made to distribute our available funds to various Non Profits within the area to close the books. Remember, the BEST STEWARDS OF THE LAND ARE THE PEOPLE WHO WORK IT. Not those who only want it.
