The iconic and historic Premier Ranch, being 1,634 acres in southern Mason County on US Hwy. 87, sold on May 23 to new owners Haverlah Ranches, who have current operations in Archer County, Cherokee and Castell. They plan to continue the existing trophy whitetail hunting operation, as well as expand their ongoing commercial and registered cattle herds.

The buyers were represented by Frosty Miller of Frosty Miller Real Estate, and the sellers, Amanda and Lee Lasater, were represented by David Culver of LANDTX. Clear Titles of Mason handled the closing and title insurance. Jed Tedder will continue in his role as foreman for Haverlah Ranches, and will live on site at Premier Ranch.
