Stacey Michell Bernal, age 34 of Decatur, TX and formerly of Brady, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014 in Denton, Texas. She was born November 8, 1979 in Brady to Billy Dale Waddill and Dianne (Land) Waddill. She graduated from Brady High School. She married Rodrigo “Rocky” Bernal on December 2, 2006 in Brady. She had lived in Decatur since 2009. She was the Director of Childcare Services at Learning Ladder in Decatur for the last 3 yrs. She was a member of the Crossroads Church in Decatur.

Funeral services for Stacey Michell Bernal will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 2:00pm at the First United Methodist in Brady with Reverend Keith Simpson officiating. Interment will follow at the Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady. Friends may view Stacey’s Memorial Video Tribute and/or sign the online memorial guest book at www.leatherwoodmemorialchapels.com. Pallbearers will be David Land, Michael Land, Kody Waddill, Darrell Barron, Justin Hafer and Leo Bernal.

Stacey is survived by her husband, Rocky, of the home; sons Kaden R. Bernal and Karson R. Bernal of the home; father Billy Dale Waddill of Stephenville, TX; mother Dianne Hardman and husband Joey of Brady; grandparents Harold and Grace Hardman of Richland Springs, TX; brother Heath Hardman and wife Lauren of Stephenville, TX and sister Lindsey DeLaCruz and husband Anthony of Stephenville, TX. Memorial contributions in memory of Stacey Michell Bernal may be made to the Crossroads Church, 1400 Deer Park Road, Decatur, Texas 76234 or Hope From The Heart, P.O. Box 1207, Brady, Texas 76825.
