The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, June 17th, for its regular weekly meeting. There were 32 members in attendance.

Lion Gaylon Thorn was responsible for the program and he introduced Matt Kast with the Natural Resources Conservation Service who spoke about the Agricultural Act of 2014 (the "Farm Bill").

Matt showed a PowerPoint presentation detailing all the changes and all the things that remain from the Farm Bill of 2008. Matt stated that the farmers and ranchers in Mason County should benefit from this bill. Matt took questions, and the meeting adjourned.

The club’s next meeting will be held next Tuesday, June 24th, at noon at Willow Creek Cafe. The program will be the installion of officers for 2014-2015.

The Mason Lion’s Club promotes sight conservation in our community. Anyone who has used eyeglasses to donate may give them to a Lions Club member or put them in collection boxes at the local banks. Also, if anyone needs financial assistance with eyeglasses, please speak to a local Lions Club member.
