Painted Tree Art Camp
Wednesday, June 25, 2014 • Posted June 25, 2014

It was a fun filled week of painting. Our focus, discussion and talk was around each person’s HOPES, DREAMS & ASPIRATIONS. This could have been what makes them happy now….expectations of the summer or long term. The important thing is that everyone had fun.

The two younger classes created a book. It was a very ambitious goal and we pulled it together. At the end of the last class each student shared the picture/story of their covers and the paintings inside their book. Upon finishing the book they would hold their book close to their chest and wouldn’t let it out of their hands. The glow and the pride on their faces…spoke volumes.

The two older classes created a collage painting. Gathering words, phrases, scenes, pictures from magazines that evoked their Hopes and Dreams. Next the canvas was painted. Later the collage pieces were glued on and then the final phase was to integrate the background + collage into a unified painting. Good work.

Thank you for the joy I have experienced in teaching you, your child, your grandchild.

Our next art week will be July 28-31st. Vacation Bible School will be in the morning and then I will be offering ART CAMP in the afternoon. Classes will be: 5-7 year olds 1:00-2:30; 8-12 year olds 3:00-5:00; 10 on up 6:00-8:00 pm. Bridget 325-805-1176.
