Fireworks Safety On the 4th
Fire Marshal
Wednesday, July 2, 2014 • Posted July 2, 2014

According to City of Mason Ordinance that has been in effect since 1950, firing or exploding fireworks within the City is prohibited. However, this is enforced, for the most part, only when a complain is received. Complaints can be called into the Mason Sheriff Dispatch at 325.347.5252.

EXTREME CAUTION should be taken when using fireworks. A citation will be issued to an adult(s) if a fire is started from the use of the fireworks.

Those doing fireworks can be held liable for damages done to another person's property, either inside the City limits or out in the county.

Persons doing fireworks should be considerate of their neighbors and pets and stop all activities after 10:00 p.m.; and, please clean up the area when you are through.

The 4th of July is a time of celebration -- please be safe!
