Michael Hoffman is the eldest son of our local residents George and Judy Schoenfeld and Otto Hoffman from Waller, Tx and the half-brother of Cody Schoenfeld who graduated from Mason High School.
Michael lived in Mason and worked at Eckert’s Dealership as a mechanic for a year.
Michael was in the Army serving as a Military Police Officer when a car wreck tragedy killed his wife and left him at the age of 21 with a month old daughter. His parents, George and Judy went to Yuma, Arizona, where he was stationed and brought him and baby Christina home to Mason where they stayed for a year. Since then, he has been an OTR truck driver for over 28 years.
To Michael’s family, he has been known for his songwriting, guitar picking and singing in and around the Mason and Llano area.
Michael and his wife reside in Llano and have six children. Amanda, Christina, Ricky, Crystaleigh, Justin and Rachael. They also have seven grandchildren. Amanda is the fiancée of Michael’s partner, Chad who currently still works for the Burnet County Sheriff’s Dept.
Michael and Chad teamed up over a year ago after talking to Michael’s cousin, Marshall, about his line of work (truck hunting). The In-Laws decided they could not only do that but do it better! Their different backgrounds have given them an edge and a unique way of gaining information to locate the missing 18-wheelers/cargo.
