Church Name
Wednesday, July 9, 2014 • Posted July 10, 2014

My husband came across an attractive red (sandstone?) church yesterday on Salt Branch Loop, not very far from Doss. No sign is visible from outside the locked fence, but the church appears to be well maintained and may still be in use. There is a white plaque high on one wall with a cross and the date 1911. He has seen one or two old Methodist/Methodist Episcopal churches with similar construction: primarily darker stone, but with white stone at the corners. Since he is a serious amateur photographer and enjoys photographing historic buildings, he would like to have a correct caption for this photo.

I have searched extensively on the internet, but cannot find any reference to this church. Do you or your readers happen to know the name of this church and its history? We would appreciate any information you could supply. Please reply to the e-mail address below.

Thank you for your assistance.
