Free Golf! With a Small Catch
Wednesday, July 9, 2014 • Posted July 10, 2014

During the last two weeks of July (19th thru 31st), families of Mason County can play golf at Comanche Creek golf course free of charge, compliment s of the Ft. Mason Golf Association. Bring a child or spouse and play for free, golf cart included. We ask that there be no more than two riders per cart, and children are not allowed to drive the carts.

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings during these two weeks, the driving range will be open for practice and basic instruction, also at no charge. Local members will be there to assist new golfers to the game. What better way to promote family awareness than to spend time with the ones you love in the great outdoors of Mason County. Golf clubs will be available for those who are new to the game.

Golf Pro Scott McDonough, from Kerrville, will be offering group golf lessons in August. The cost is $38 for a series of three lessons. If you are interested in improving your game, he is the man to see. Scott finished last week with his first series of lessons for both youth and adults. He started with proper gripping, alignment and swing path. In his last lesson, Scott took the adult class on to the course and introduced them to golf course management.

There is a lot happening out here in the southeast 40, so come on out and build memories with us.
