The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, July 15th, for its regular weekly meeting. There were 28 members and two visitors in attendance.

Lion Ken Cordero was responsible for the program and he spoke to the club about swimming pool pumps and plumbing.

Ken has been in the swimming pool and spa service business for a number of years in California, and most recently in Mason and surrounding towns. Ken explained how a pump and filter system works and how they should be plumbed to achieve the maximum performance.

Ken's knowledge of this business was very interesting.

Some of the club members are planning a trip to Kerrville to visit the Texas Lions Camp on Friday, July 18 in the afternoon and evening.

The club’s next meeting will be held next Tuesday, July 22nd, at noon at Nacho's Cafe. The program chairman will be David Benefield.

The Mason Lion’s Club promotes sight conservation in our community. Anyone who has used eyeglasses to donate may give them to a Lions Club member or put them in collection boxes at the local banks. Also, if anyone needs financial assistance with eyeglasses, please speak to a local Lions Club member.
