It’s that time again! The first day of school is Monday, August 25th

School students should receive a packet in the mail this week, which includes high school registration information and necessary forms to be completed and returned to school on the day of registration. If there are any questions, staff members will be available to help you on the day of registration. Parents and students, please make sure you read all information carefully before signing, as there are some changes that have been made. Also, please note: some of the forms are printed on both the front and back of the pages. If you did not receive a registration packet, please call or come by the school office as soon as possible. 347-1122 ext 221.

Wednesday, August 13th

All students will register on Wednesday, August 13th. Students will turn in their registration forms, check out and cover their textbooks and have their school pictures made. Students taking dual credit classes will also fill out their Central Texas College registration forms if they have not already done so. Students who wish to take the new dual credit courses through TSTC can also register at this time. Dual credit tuition is due on the first day of school. All students will take their school pictures on this day. You do not have to purchase the photos, but you must have your picture taken. Please dress appropriately or you will not be allowed to have your photo taken. (Formal senior pictures will be taken at a later date.) Please see the schedule below for registration times.

Also on Wednesday, August 13th we will hold an orientation for freshmen and new students, along with their parents, in the auditorium beginning at 5:30 pm. This is a very important meeting and we strongly encourage your attendance. We will share our expectations and procedural information with you, and we welcome your input, comments and questions.

We will be hosting an iPad Parent meeting at 6:30 for all HS students and parents. After the meeting iPads will be issued to students who have: attended the meeting with a parent or guardian, turned in their completed contracts, and have all of their completed registration forms and insurance fees.

Registration Schedule *

Freshmen: 8:00 - 9:00 a.m.

Sophomores: 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.

Juniors: 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Seniors: 11:00 – 12:00 noon

  • Football players and those students involved in football practice will register from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.

Another upcoming event at Mason High School is for seniors and their parents. College Night will be August 27th and seniors will receive their college handbooks, along with a couple of other tools that will make the college application process easier. We will go through the handbooks and discuss planning for life after high school. Important topics will include resume writing, essay writing and college & scholarship applications. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
