The Mason Community Thrift Store is featuring another unique item for the Silent Auction. It is an antique Roll Top Desk that has been in Mason for over 100 years!
The vintage desk is made of oak and has five lower drawers (one is double depth for holding files), a center drawer below the desk surface (not always found in these) and ten cubbyholes under the roll top, with an additional small drawer for special treasures. The desk is in quite good condition, with an easy rolling top to close up any clutter! There are some surface imperfections, of course, adding to its charm while attesting to its functional service throughout the years!
This auction begins on Wednesday, August 13th and ends at close of business in two weeks on Wednesday, August 27th. Interested parties are encouraged to stop by the Community Thrift Store at 206 Moody Street and place your bids!
All profits of the Thrift Store are returned to the community through grants to non-profits with projects intended for the betterment of the community. The next grant cycle is ending soon and applications will only be accepted through Tuesday, September 2, 2014. Qualifying organizations are encouraged to visit the Store to pick up an application today!
