The 2014 Queen’s Court is off to a wonderful start! They held their fundraiser last Friday on the square. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and showed your support. As always, the great community of Mason came through and made it such a huge success. A special thank you to Lowe’s, Nacho’s Cafe, Mason Bottling, Mason Bank, Commercial Bank, First State Bank, Capital Farm Credit, Benjie’s Books & Gifts, Mike Innis, Martin Leatherwood, Jay and Julie Tedder, Jeff and TJ Schmidt, Glenn and Caren Rueffer, James and Tina Donop, Wade and Cindy Powell, Jennie Armes and Pam Spiller for your time/donations and making the fundraiser possible.

On Saturday morning, the ladies drove to Junction for the first parade of their reign. They represented Mason very well and brought home a 1st place ribbon. The float this year was provided by the City of Mason. Thank you to David Hyden, John Palacio, Pattie Allen and all of the City employees that helped make such a beautiful float.

The next appearance for the Queen’s Court is Friday, August 22, in Fredericksburg. Every single one of these girls are excited about the opportunity to represent Mason throughout the next year. They hope to not only make Mason proud but to also bring home several blue ribbons.
