Wednesday, August 27, 2014 • Posted August 27, 2014

On Aug. 13, Hill Country Memorial received the 2014 Women’s Choice Award for being voted one of America’s best hospitals for patient experience by women. This distinction is the only award that identifies the country’s best health care institutions based on female patient satisfaction, quality physician communications, responsiveness of nurses and support staff, cleanliness and trusted referrals from other women.

“Hill Country Memorial is honored to be recognized as an America’s Best Hospital for Patient Experience,” said Hill Country Memorial CEO Jayne E. Pope, MBA, RN, FACHE. “The Women’s Choice Award signifies the work of all of our value-driven team members, our remarkable care and our vision to ‘Empower Others, Create Healthy’—for women and our community.”

“The America’s Best Hospitals designation helps women make smart health care choices for themselves and their families,” said Delia Passi, CEO and founder of WomenCertified®, home to the Women’s Choice Award. “It is critical for women to know these hospitals have demonstrated the highest level of care to their patients with a special focus on the female experience.”

Being recognized as a hospital of choice among women represents a strong commitment to today’s consumers, especially women who account for 90 percent of all health care decisions according to the American Academy of Family Physicians.

The best 100 scores in each of the four hospital size categories determine the America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Outstanding Patient Experience award winners.

The Women’s Choice Award identifies brands, products and services most recommended and trusted by women. Awards are based on surveys of thousands of women and research conducted in partnership with the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. WomenCertified accepts no payment in exchange for placement on the list.
