Cousin Louie turned one year old on January 29th. Cousin Louie is a Blood Hound that thinks he’s a wiener dog or a Chihuahua. Louie has no idea that he’s a BIG PUP. They told me that Louie would be better and calmer after he was a year old. Well, they lied. Now, they say it’s two or two and a half years.
The little dogs get under the house to get away from him and he crawls in after them. Then the howl of his resonates all under and through the house.
Z has boarded up the underside of the house, but a little dog has to do what a little dog has to do, to get away from Cousin Louie. Earl is protective of Pearl and then there’s Nacha. Nacha has to fend for Nacha! However, never doubt the fight of a little Chihuahua! Just ask my boys. Nacha, doesn’t like them, either.
I’ve got most of my affairs in order, but have been told by my children, that they will not take on Nacha. First of all, they could never get her from under the house or from behind the washing machine. Z can get her with “Cheese!” She’s smart, she understands, “Cheese!” But, I’ll have to let Nacha, fend for Nacha, in the event that I cannot care for her. She’ll make it, too!
Jessica and Brody gave Z a book for Christmas, “OLD DOGS ARE BEST!” So, Cousin Louie, you’re seven years old in dog years now and a year from now, you’ll be a teenager. But, we just have to love a clumsy puppy that’s gaining on one hundred pounds! However, please don’t push it, or I’ll sic Nacha on you.
P.S. Remember when our Mothers said, “Don’t go to bed with wet hair?” It may not make you sick, but heavens the hair looks like a haystack the next morning!
