An information session on how to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form will be held on Monday, Feb. 23, at Fredericksburg High School Library at 5:00 and 6:30 p.m. Sessions will also be in Spanish. All students applying for college financial aid must complete the FAFSA form. A presentation will be shown, “2009 FAFSA Made Easy” with specific information on completing the online and paper applications.
The session is sponsored by the Hill Country University Center with its partners Texas Tech University at Fredericksburg, Austin Community College, and Concordia University. Advisors from these colleges will also present information and answer questions about degree programs available in Fredericksburg. Students planning to attend any college and parents are invited to attend.
Austin Community College (ACC) will also have their Mobile Go Van there with computers set up for students to complete their FAFSA and applications to ACC. Bi-lingual advisors will be available to assist participants.
Students who attend this session and enroll in college in 2009-10 will be eligible to enter a drawing for statewide scholarships.
