The Mason Lions Club met Tuesday, January 27th, for its regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 38 members and 3 visitors in attendance. Among the visitors were 2 Mason High School Seniors, Ryan Schuessler and Rowdy Ake.

Lion James Kingston was responsible for the program and introduced Marcie Perlman who spoke about Work Force Solutions of the Concho Valley. Marcie works with people that have disabilities trying to find jobs for them. She works with employers to try and show them some of the disabled workers can complete tasks with only a small modification to the equipment or workplace. Her program was very interesting and informative.

The club's next meeting will be held Tuesday, February 3rd, at noon at Zavala's. The program will be the monthly business meeting.

The Mason Lions Club has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also, please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
