Fay Bratton Wood died Wednesday, February 11, 2009 in Voca, Texas. Fay was the daughter of the late Jess Morgan Bratton & Lydia Jennie (Williams) Bratton. Fay was born on January 7, 1910 in Katemcy, Texas. She married Everett Richard Wood, January 8, 1932 in Comanche, Texas. Fay was a homemaker and a member of Liberty Baptist Church of Voca, Texas. She was also a member of Voca Quilting Club, Voca Cemetery Assoc., Voca Community Assoc. Plane Spotter for Civil Service in the 50's & 60's.

The Funeral was be held at 10:00am Saturday, February 14, 2009 at the Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady. Visitation was held from 6-8 pm Friday evening. Officiating, Reverend Ray Ash, Father John Fritts, & Reverend Edmond Wheeless. Interment was at Voca Cemetery in Voca, Texas. Pallbearers: Gene Bratton, Darren Lovich, Bryce Bennett, Steve Grant, Danny Dickey, David Lewis. Honorary Pallbearers: J.H. Slaughter, Alvin Stegemoeller, Knox Trammell Jr., David Lovich, Dean Christie Jr., Jerry Bratton.

Survivors are Daughter, Dainty Wood Lovich & husband David of Brady, Texas. Daughter-in-law Rita Wood of Santa Fe, MN., Former Daughter-in-law Lucy Underwood, Sister Edith Slaughter and husband J.H. of Brady, Texas, Dorcas Stegemoeller and Husband Alvin of Cleburne, Texas, Sister-in-law Grace Bratton, of Gatesville, Texas. Grandchildren Carrie Wood Grant, Shawna Wood Dickey, Sharee Wood Lewis, Diedre Lovich Bennett & Darren Lovich. Great-grandchildren Sarah Lewis, Joshua Lewis, Matthew Dickey, Alana Morgan Bennett, Amy Dickey, Hailey Dickey. Preceded in Death by her parents, husband, and son Dr. Jerry Raynor Wood, Brother Robert, Oscar, Mike & Buck Bratton, Sister Lottie Gallegly.

Memorials may be made to Organization or Charity Choice. Arrangements entrusted to Leatherwood Memorial Chapels. Brady, Texas.
