"Down the Drain with Jane"

Sneezing, is a way of life. Pepper can make one sneeze, so can dust. But, there is one thing about sneezing, it’s going to happen to everyone sometime or the other.

Some people sneeze with a little beep. Some sneeze with a bellow that can be heard all over the house. It’s funny to hear a big man sneeze with a little beep and a little woman or child sneeze like a grizzly bear that just put it’s snout in a cup of black pepper.

There is a custom of telling someone who sneezes, “God Bless You!” Thus, in turn, the sneezer needs to reply with a, “Thank You!” There’s a German phrase that sounds something like, “Gossoon Tight!” I prefer, “God Bless You.” Gossoon Tight, sounds like something is on too tight!

I’ve no idea where the blessing comes from when you sneeze. Maybe, the sneeze is getting the devil out of you. But, for what ever reason there is, or from where it started, I’m going to continue to say, “GOD BLESS YOU!” And, personally the devil can just go to hell because I’m going to say it, and continue to say it even if the person who sneezes doesn’t acknowledge my blessings! Maybe if you bless these people long enough, they’ll get the point and acknowledge your blessings. If not, okay, you’re blessed in just blessing them. Ever say, “God Bless You,” to a cough? Some almost sound alike!

P.S. January and February are months known for a lot of sneezing, so this maybe a good time to bless someone!
