Sierra Martin Has Winner Steer at San Antonio Stock Show

San Antonio, TX – The Junior Market Steer Show selected Limousin Breed Champions February 18, 2009 during the 2008 Stock Show and Rodeo.

Sierra Martin, 12, of Mason, Texas and the Mason County 4-H Chapter captured the Breed Champion award with her 1355 pound steer, “Big Red.” She likes to show several other animals and would one day like to attend Texas A&M University.

Reserve Breed Champion honors belong to Daylan Brooks, 9, from La Vernia, Texas and his 1339 pound steer, “Bombshell.” Brooks is a member of the Wilson County 4-H Club.

San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo houses the largest Junior Livestock Show in the world. In pursuit of its mission “Helping Youth Today So That Agriculture Can Grow Tomorrow,” the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo has committed more than $87 million to youth education since 1984.
