Box Tops for Education Raises $700!
Wednesday, March 11, 2009 • Posted March 11, 2009

The Mason School PTO set a goal of $500 for the 2008-09 school year and have already raised $700 by collecting Box Tops. The children had a contest during the last six weeks of school to see which class could collect the most Box Tops. Mrs. Toone’s class won first place with Mrs. Beth Smith’s class winning a close second place. The students have worked hard and community involvement has helped us exceed our expectations. We are very grateful to all of you who have collected Box Tops.

We are starting a second drive and asking everyone to once again clip and save all of your Box Tops to help our school. Each Box Top is worth 10c and they add up quickly with community support. Box Tops can be located on many items you already purchase, including General Mills and Betty Crocker foods. Look for them on Kleenex and Ziploc products as well. Box Tops are similar to coupons and about the size of a postage stamp. They can also be found on items other than “boxes” including items packaged in plastic and cans, among others.

Collection boxes are located at Super S Foods, Mane Attraction and the Elementary/Jr. High School office. This campaign drive begins today and ends on April 17th. So check your pantries and all of your grocery purchases for Box Tops.

It’s simple to help. Just clip and drop. For a complete list of Box Tops products, go on-line to www.BoxTops4education.com. For more information, call Tiffany Berrio at 325-347-4794. The Box Tops For Education is a project of the Mason Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO).
