The Mason Lions Club met Tuesday, March 10th, for its regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 37 members and 1 visitor in attendance.

Lion Mark Lehmberg was responsible for the program and introduced Barry Keler AKA "Barry K" or "Boogie Man" who spoke about his life as a Radio Disc Jockey. In 1974-1975 Barry was voted the #1 Disc Jockey in America and in 2003 he was inducted into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame. Barry told some interesting facts about his life and the people he met while in the music business.

The club's next meeting will be held Tuesday, March 17th, at noon at Zavala's. The program chairman will be Roger Luckenbach.

The Mason Lions Club has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also, please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
