Operation Cookie Pack
Thursday, March 26, 2009 • Posted March 26, 2009

Did you buy Girl Scout cookies to send to the military overseas? Well, here is a follow up of what happened to those cookies.

The Girl Scouts of Central Texas held an Operation Cookie Pack at the Mason Program Center on Thursday, March 26. Girls from Mason, Brady and Fredericksburg attended, and girls from Llano and Burnet sent their support with letters to the soldiers.

We packed the cookies along with donated toiletry times, blank cards, candies, Slim Jim's, and letters from the girls. These packages are being sent to Operation Interdependence who will send them to the deployed men and women who are serving our country overseas.

We would like to thank everyone for supporting the local Girls Scouts by buying Girls Scout cookies. We would also like to thank everyone who supported us in Operation Cookies. It has been a wonderful learning experience for the girls as well as the adults who participated.

Through fun programs like Operation Cookie, Girl Scouts helps girls build confidence and take action to change the world. To learn more about Girl Scouts of Central Texas or to register a girl you care about, visit www.gsetx.org or call (866) 944-4755.
