Region II Wrangler Jr. High State Finals to be held in Mason
Wednesday, April 8, 2009 • Posted April 8, 2009

The Texas Wrangler Jr. High Division Region II Rodeo will be holding their rodeo finals in Mason Easter weekend at the Ft. Mason Park Rodeo Arena.

Jr. High and Youth division students have been participating in rodeos since last fall to compete for one of 8 spots in each event for the State Finals. These young men and women are students in the 6th, 7th or 8th grades from all over West Texas and New Mexico. There has also been a youth division which is 5th grade students and younger. The Youth division does not go on to state after the Region Finals. There will be two rodeos over the Easter holiday weekend, one on Friday afternoon at 3:00 and the second on Saturday morning at 9:30.

It is free for the public to come out and watch the great rodeo action. Many of these students have competed in the State Finals and the National Finals rodeo in previous years. These are young men and women that one day very soon you will be seeing compete at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas!
