Information Session on April 22nd

Hill Country residents who want to complete a college degree can achieve this at Texas Tech University (TTU) at Fredericksburg and Austin Community College (ACC). Two bachelor degree programs are available to meet students’ goals and needs.

An information session on the TTU at Fredericksburg degree programs will be held at the Fredericksburg High School Library, 1107 Hwy 16S, on Wednesday, April 22, at 5:30 pm. All interested students are invited to attend.

TTU at Fredericksburg offers the Bachelor of General Studies degree in which students complete three areas of concentration. Areas available are English, History, Psychology, Sociology, General Business, and Restaurant, Hotel, and Institution Management. Deadline for applying for summer classes is May 1.

Students interested in teaching can pursue the Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies degree to prepare for teacher certification in Early Childhood through 6th grade and English as a Second Language. Next cohort begins in Fall.

Texas Tech will admit students who have completed 45 hours of core curriculum at ACC or another college and meet GPA requirements into either of these programs to complete their bachelor degree. Students who have fewer hours can start working at ACC to take the core curriculum classes prior to transferring to TTU.
