St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, as I hope I have “trained” my avid readers (both of them - thanks, Tommy and Jake) to recognize, is having their Springfest this Sunday, April 26th, from 11 a.m. until all the chicken is cleared from the station (probably 1 p.m.).
Our delicious chicken will be cooked to perfection on our brand-new barbeque pits, and served with pinto beans, mac and cheese or potato salad, salad, a homemade dessert and tea or water to “wet your whistle”, all for the low, low price of $8.00 minimum donation.
I hope you’re keeping “track,” because there’s more. Each ticket enters the purchaser into a raffle, for a cash prize of $300. Advance tickets can be purchased at The Mane Attraction, Little Red Shack, and First State Bank.
St. Joseph’s will be a hub of activity April 26th. A bake sale, cake auction, and silent auction is “on schedule,” as well as the chicken dinner. Eat in or take out, the “local motion” this Sunday dictates a trip to St. Joseph’s, where you can park your caboose and have an expressly nice day.
