2009 Fall Season Sign-Up Information

Mason youth will again have the opportunity to play tackle football this fall via the Texas Youth Football League based in Brownwood, Texas. All boys and girls enrolled in the Mason School System going into the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade for the Fall of 2009 and not turning 13 before September 1st, 2009 are eligible to play.

Mason will field two teams, 3rd/4th and 5th/6th provided there are at least 15 team members signed up per team. Early Registration ends May 31st and the fee is $95 which includes everything but socks and shoes. Regular Registration ends July 30th and the fee is $115 (after July 30th is $140). Do not let financial concerns limit your child from playing. There may be sponsorships available.

Practices will begin the week of August 2nd and will be 3 times per week until games begin at which time, practices will be limited to 2 times per week and the game on Saturdays. This year, Mason will play in the South Region which includes: Brady, San Saba, Llano, and Johnson City. There will be playoffs including the teams from the North Region including: Coleman, Bangs, BWD, Early, and Comanche. The “Super Bowl” will be held at Gordon Wood Stadium in Brownwood.

The goal of the league is to teach the players the fundamentals of football in preparation for 7th Grade play and to improve the experience base of the Mason Football Program. If you are interested in helping sponsor a player, the teams in general, or just want to help, please contact one of the Mason representatives.
