Dortha A. “Dot” McWilliams died May 1, 2009, in Papillion, NE.

Born May 12, 1924, in Mason, TX, to Ed and Drucilla (Ferguson) Doyal. Married Milton B. “Mac” McWilliams on May 9, 1942, in San Antonio, TX.

During her sixty-five year marriage she encountered many adventures as a military wife of twenty-five years. She lived in twelve different states and spent three years in Germany.

Dot was very active within the military community. She served as president of the youth activity center, and was a Red Cross volunteer at base hospitals. In addition, she served on numerous committees within the Officer Wife’s Club involved in charitable events.

Following Mac’s retirement from the Air Force in 1969, the couple remained active for many years by serving as volunteers at the Lackland Air Force Base Wellness Clinic. They enjoyed 38 years of retirement in their beloved San Antonio, TX before moving to Papillion to be near family.

Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Milton Jr. and Dee, Bellevue, NE, granddaughters Stacey A. and husband Jeff Demitros of Omaha, NE; Laurie A. and husband Stephen Riesenberg of Bellevue NE; Brother Pat and sister-in-law Rhetta Doyal of Saluda, South Carolina.

Memorial Service will be held at The Trinity Lutheran Family Life Church in Papillion, NE Wed., May 6, 2:00 PM. Internment will be with husband at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas. Date to be determined. Memorials to Donor’s Choice.
