"Down The Drain With Jane"

I’ve got bad news. Peaches, the little runt of Pearl's litter, died. She was the one that was so tiny and was marked like a Holstein cow. However, there’s good news, too! Cooter and Sadie May are doing well. Sadie May has two black spots on each side of her tail and two black horns on top of her head. So, the one that gets her, can either name her Elsie or Hillary. But, Cooter is still gonna be “Cooter!”

I know that they don’t open their eyes until about two weeks, but every day I hold them and say, “Open-Open-Open!” There’s nothing more sweet than puppies and kittens playing with each other. Too bad they grow up. However, some dogs, like Cousin Louie, never grow up! Aunt Natch is now allowed to look at the puppies, but she knows not to touch. Earl, is uninterested and acting like a real stud muffin!

Other than puppy dogs, my other passion are “Signs!” I want to have Patricia Beaty to paint me some Burma Shave Signs! One set should read, “IF YOU TRAVEL—DOWN THIS ROAD——TAKE NOTE——THERE ARE NO——SHOULDERS——ON THIS ROAD—NO PEDDLERS ALLOWED!”

P.S. The lack of Horse Sense and too, much STUPIDITY are now at a pandemic status in Washington, DC. Sometimes, I wonder if DC really stands for, “DUMB CLUCKS?”
