On my monthly trip to Fredericksburg to satisfy my Wally World craving, I saw a sight that was really a life’s story. There were peddlers, but they were in the marked shoulder of the highway. However, ahead of them was a big John Deere tractor, with its flashers going.
With enough room to go around the peddlers and the John Deere, I saw another couple of peddlers just ahead of the BIG John Deere tractor. The peddlers ahead of the Big Green and Yellow machine were really a peddling it. No time to enjoy the pretty Hill Country. While the peddlers behind the BIG GREEN and YELLOW Machine had the fumes of diesel to tend to.
So, what did this say to me? One thought and my first though was, not at all that Christian, “They deserve this!” However, other thoughts were coming. Like, “When you’re first, you need to peddle faster!” When you’re behind, you need to find a different plan!” Of course, when you’re behind something so powerful, stay up, don’t lag behind.
When you’re ahead of the machine, you best not let up!
I learned fourteen years ago, to never underestimate the power of the BIG GREEN AND YELLOW MACHINE!
P.S. The puppies are fat as butter balls and I’m growing really attached to them, but having four wiener dogs, a chaholla, and a blood hound, would be just too much, even for me! We have the French Bull Dog, the English Bull Dog. We have French Puddles and German Short Hairs. Chinese Pugs and Irish Setters. Guess, all we have is the American Mutts!
