Wednesday, May 20, 2009 • Posted May 20, 2009

Deborah Neslage, owner of Designs by Deborah, is announcing the grand opening of her new shop located at 113 E. Main, Brady, on the courthouse square. The ribbon cutting will be May 21st at 10:00 a.m. Deborah and her husband moved to Brady in May 2008. She is a retired insurance agent after investing 26 year in the business.

Fiber arts has always been a passion of hers, however, she was not introduced to rug hooking until 4 years ago. Deborah started her own design business three years ago. To credits she is featured this year as an artist in the American Traditional Hooking Artists magazine.

The Brady shop will offer rug hooking supplies including wool off the bolt as well as over-dyed and spot dyed wools. Also for sale are original designs by Deborah with a line of needlepoint and embroidery coming soon. Classes in rug hooking, crochet and knitting will be offered. Deborah will also host, beginning in June, Fiber Arts Fridays from 11 to 2. Teas and finger foods will be served. This way all the ladies and gents can take their lunch breaks and meet others for a fun lunchtime.
