The Mason Lions Club met Tuesday, May 19th, for its regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 33 members and 3 visitors in attendance.
Lion Wilburn Shearer was responsible for the program. He spoke about and showed a power-point presentation of pictures of Early days Mason County deer hunters and their trophies. Wibby had some interesting facts about the pictures to pass on to the club. He also had pictures of Trophy Animals taken all over the United States. Wibby concluded his program by showing pictures of large rattlesnakes and dens that had many snakes laying around them.
The club's next meeting will be held Tuesday, May 26th, at noon at Zavala's. The program chairman will be Pat Reardon.
The Mason Lions Club has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also, please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
