The Mason Lions Club met Tuesday, May 26th, for its regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 35 members and 2 visitors in attendance.

Lion John Copeland was responsible for the program and he spoke about Cope Enforcement of the City of Mason. Mr. Copeland is in charge of Code Enforcement for the City of Mason. His is working on getting is license at the present time. John explained how the process worked when a city code was violated. He presented a flow-chart as how the process went step by step. He said mainly the codes for abandon vehicles and un-safe premises were the main violation. The program was very informative.

The club's next meeting will be held Tuesday, June 2nd, at noon at Zavala's. The program will be the monthly business meeting.

The Mason Lions Club has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also, please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
