Junction’s Christan N. Powers Awarded FAAHC’s First Scholarship

The Fine Arts Association of the Hill Country is pleased to announce the recipient of their first annual $1,000 scholarship. Christan Nichole Powers of Junction High School was selected for this honor and was surprised with the award during her May 29th graduation ceremony.

Miss Powers’ entry showcasing her work stood out above the rest as the selection committee studied the applications. Her art teacher submitted a glowing recommendation regarding her personal attributes as well as her artistic talents. The instructor stated that “she expresses herself as an artist through the endless projects that consists of painting, clay sculptures, paper masks, watercolor, drawings and other mediums. Miss Powers has a genuine interest in art and it shows in her artwork.”

The membership of the FAAHC covers the four county area of Kimble, Mason, McCulloch and Menard. They congratulate this young lady and wish her life’s very best in her future endeavors.
