The Mason Lions Club met Tuesday, June 9th, for its regular weekly meeting. There were 33 members and 3 visitors in attendance.
Lion Charles Reichanau was responsible for the program and introduced Mike Higgins of West Central Wireless who spoke about West Central's services. Mike said he have been in the business for 21 years, for the last 6 years he has been the C.E.O. for Central Texas Telephone and the general manager for West Central Wireless for the last 18 years.
Mike gave a very interesting program on the future of the wireless phone business.
Thank you to all that helped our Mop & Broom sale be a huge success. We raised over $500 in profit to be used in our projects. THANKS! AGAIN.
The club's next meeting will be held Tuesday, June 16th, at noon at Zavala's. The program chairman will be Dr. Glenn Ruthven and the program will be on the Apple Festival by Don Durflinger.
The Mason Lions Club has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also, please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
